On Thursday 7 August we held an evening to open our exhibition in The Rocks and to launch Archikidz Goes BUSH – our inaugural regional event - a co-initiative with the CORRIDOR project and Cowra Public School. Archikidz Goes BUSH will be held at the Riverslea Station property, near Cowra, in a huge woolshed - in September and will involve 13 regional schools and reach over 300 kids.

It was great to have so many people at our launch - showing their interest and support for Archikidz and to share in the celebration of what we’ve achieved already. The attendance of such a diverse group of people (industry, universities and beyond), representatives from the Department of Education (Marie Angus Director of Education, Orange & principals from several regional schools participating in Archikidz Goes Bush), Peter Poulet (NSW Government Architect), Tim Horton (ARB Registrar), Rachel Healy (Exec. Manager Culture City of Sydney) & the support expressed by Minister Katrina Hodgkinson and Councillor Robert Kok (City of Sydney) - is confirmation that we are building something of real value.

We are currently looking – to broaden our existing sponsorship base. Ultimately, we hope to generate enough financial support to employ someone on a part-time basis. At the moment all our work is voluntary.

Interested in sponsoring Archikidz or able to offer in-kind assistance? We would love to talk to you. Please send an email to hello@archikidz.com.au or call us on 02-9045 1772.

Thank you to Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority for making this event possible through their Rocks Pop Up programme!
